The best restroom in Canada is at a truck stop

Valleyview Shell Super Station in Edmonton beat many of Canada’s finest restaurants to win the 2013 Cintas Canada Best Restroom contest, reports Teona Baetu in Today's Trucking:

“It’s weird, but people say ‘You have to see the Shell bathroom' and it spreads by word of mouth and people come because other people recommend it. They come here just to check it out, not for gas but just to check out the washrooms.”

That's store supervisor Silvia Barks. The station’s restrooms have a tongue-and-groove alder ceiling with a Victorian chandelier, curved mirrors, and Tavertine tile floors. The women’s restroom has glass privacy panels in the powder room.

The contest is sponsored by Cintas, which provides businesses with specialized services such as uniforms, first aid kits, and, of course, restroom supplies.

Great story.
