Built on Tradition — Kenworth’s W990

In September, Kenworth unveiled its brand-new W990 truck in Las Vegas. By now, you’ve probably had a chance to see photos of the W990, and perhaps, read a little about the truck.

Right off the bat, you can tell that this truck was designed for those that grew up loving the traditional look — long-hood, chrome grille and a bold presence that shows other drivers you mean business — The Driver’s Truck.

Kenworth engineers put in the time to design a truck that would give its customers the traditional look that is enjoyed from the W900 but with a modern twist.

Over Kenworth’s 95-year history, the company has made a point to look for new, innovative ways to make its trucks better, more durable and efficient for its customers. The W990 is no different, as it builds upon Kenworth’s long tradition of combining cutting-edge technology with excellent craftsmanship, performance, and quality.

The W990 boasts a longer hood than the W900, plus gets better fuel efficiency. Standard with PACCAAR’s MX-13 engine, the W990 is designed to maximize performance in line haul, pickup and delivery, regional haul, and heavy haul operations.

The W990 is available in day cab, 40-inch flat top, and 52-inch and 76-inch mid-roof sleeper configurations. To improve the drivers experience, Kenworth offers Limited Edition interior and a premium Driver’s Studio package, for its sleeper configurations.

If you have a chance, check out the W990 Road Tour, you may still have a chance to see the truck in-person, if you haven’t already.
