Kenworth produces Class 8 trucks at plants in Chillicothe, Ohio, and Renton, Wash., and Class 5-7 trucks at the PACCAR plant in Ste. Therese, Quebec. The company operates a research and development center in Renton.

The Great Big Idaho Potato® Truck Readies to Peel Out on the Interstate

Kenworth PremierCare Connect Helps Petroleum Product Hauler Simplify Complex Shop Operation

ANTHONY, Kan., Dec. 12, 2011 — The Kenworth PremierCare® Connect system helps Mitch Barker, service manager of Anthony, Kan.-based Farmers Oil Company, manage parts ordering and maintenance for the company’s fleet of more than 120 trailers and about 80 tractors, including Kenworth T660s and Kenworth W900s. Barker says the help is welcome as he must keep a much tighter reign on the company’s maintenance records under the provisions of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) program. From Space Shuttles to B-1 Bombers, Contractors Cargo Ready for the Challenge

COMPTON, Calif., Nov. 28, 2011 — The 84-year-old owner of Contractors Cargo reminisces about the many heavy hauls his Compton, Calif.-based company has completed over the years. One haul involved seeing the nose of the Space Shuttle in his rear-view mirror of his Kenworth truck. In early 2012, the company will haul a decommissioned B-1 bomber from Portland International Airport in Oregon to Boeing’s facility in Renton, Wash., where the plane will undergo testing.
