About Strong Industries

Based in Houston, Strong Industries is the developer and manufacturer of the Strong Arm trailing axle and Superdump bed for dump trucks that haul asphalt, aggregates, concrete products, and other materials.

Trailing 11 to 13 feet behind the rear tandem, the Strong Arm stretches the outer bridge measurement—the distance between the truck’s first and last axles—to allow up to 80,000 pounds GVW (and typically more than 26 tons of payload) on a seven-axle dump truck.

Truck owners call their Strong Arm-equipped trucks Superdumps because they far exceed the payload, productivity, and return on investment of a conventional dump truck.

As the manufacturer of an axle and dump body designed specifically for bridge formula jurisdictions, Strong Industries works with truck owners, dealers, and OEMs of all stripes to produce the most efficient, productive vehicle possible. Company president Brooks Strong is a great interview—sharp and candid. He’s also the company’s lead engineer and can explain—in plain language—how to spec a dump truck for maximum productivity and profitability for the owner. Media contact: Stephen Petit

Superdumps give Mundall Trucking a competitive edge

Payload is critical to your productivity as a dump truck operator, but to John Mundall it’s only part of the equation. To build success you need to get that material out of the bed quickly and cleanly so you can load up again. Mundall operates Mundall Trucking, an asphalt hauler in the hotly competitive Phoenix market. His seven-axle Superdump trucks set the benchmark for asphalt haulers in the area: 25.7 tons of material.
